What's Livejournal anyway?

Livejournal is a site where you keep your diary online. You can either make every entry public, or you can restrict who can read it to a specified group of friends with LJs. This means you can retain some privacy if that's a concern.

Communities are special types of LJ that can be joined by more than one person, and serve as an information service as well as a place to discuss common interests.

A lot of Bucksgoths have LJs, but having one is by no means mandatory.

However, if you're interested you can start a Livejournal either by buying an account (for a minimum of $5 (about £3.20) or by being given an activation code by someone who already has an account.

There may be some activation codes available to new Bucksgoth members.
